A prototype in the field of smart mobility.
Last Thursday, the 25th, the first facility incorporating our platform was inaugurated. The facility features solar power generation, battery storage, and two charging stations for electric vehicles.
Although it is a relatively small installation, it represents a major step forward for the company, as it provides us with a real-world example that we can use to demonstrate some of our system's potential to future clients.
The Don Bosco Vocational Training Center, the electrical systems integrator Irulezo, the Lortek technology center, and the Oarsoaldea regional development agency—with support from the Department of Economic Promotion, Tourism, and Rural Affairs of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa as part of the Smart Mobility Industry 2020 program—have launched the E-Don Bosco project.
E-Don Bosco is a pilot project to test a modular, smart system for energy storage in reusable batteries and for managing vehicle charging, in which both faculty and students at CIFP Don Bosco will have access to a replicable and scalable test bed.
The project, which will last 12 months, aims to generate and share knowledge in the fields of electromobility, smart energy storage, renewable energy, and the circular economy through the comparative use of new batteries and “second-life” used vehicle batteries powered by solar energy.
